This heartwarming picture book is the adventure of a young boy, Ian McGee, who has to cope with the death of his father. He and his mother are faced with sudden hardship and poverty. His dream for his father to teach him to become a pilot dissolves in despair. This tragedy also destroys his social status and neighborhood friendships. Then, a great thing happens to Ian McGee.
